I LOVE this picture!!!! I can't remember ever seeing a double rainbow with such vivid colors before. You can't tell in the photo, but you could see the arches on the other side too! It was a crazy day of weather and this was the treat we got in the late afternoon. God is amazing!!!!!! Posted by Picasa

So the "old bird" turns 58 years old on Halloween night!! My Mom had these turkey decorations to put in her pumpkin, but we couldn't resist decorating his cake with it first. We all got a good laugh out of it!! Posted by Picasa

Halloween night we went over to Grandpa Tom's house to surprise him with dinner and dessert for his birthday!!! The boys wanted to dress up for Grandpa. Posted by Picasa

Darin has a harvest party at the hospital every year. This year they had the "Mad Science" people come in and do a very educational program for kids. They then moved into another room for more experiements and hands on fun. They had popcorn and water and were given a treat bag with a juice pack and fruit snacks to take home. I think all the parents were very happy with the program and the lack of major sugar....I know we were. Posted by Picasa

Here is the Mad Scientist in action! Dry Ice is such a wonderful thing. It definately kept the kids attention. Posted by Picasa

Here are the boys making their cup of slime to take home with them. Boys mixing chemicals and making slime...what fun!!! Posted by Picasa

We had a field trip to the pumpkin patch with our homeschool group this year. It was such a beautiful sunshiny day!!! There were animals to see, a lesson on how the wheat stalks were processed to make bread, a boat ride, a train ride, and of course the hunt for the perfect pumpkin. Posted by Picasa

We just left the main barn area for our boat ride over to the pumpkin patch. Posted by Picasa

This dragon was towards the end of the boat ride...as you can see Martin is not scared in the least. Posted by Picasa

They had this shark jump out of the water as the boat went by. The boys thought it was totally COOL!!!! Posted by Picasa

We got to take a train ride back to the barn. The boys are very pleased with their pumpkins :-) Posted by Picasa

The boys decided to use these stick on rubber pieces to decorate their pumpkins this year. Here is Luke with his designed pumpkin. They definately last longer this way compared to carving them and A LOT LESS work !! Posted by Picasa

Martin with his pumpkin. Posted by Picasa

So of course Luke had to get in on the action...brother see brother do....ha ha  Posted by Picasa

Martin wanted to use the face paints. Here is the final product with his handmade feather hat and sword. The wonder of the creative side of kids. Posted by Picasa

LUKE'S FIRST 2-MILE RUN

Luke ran his first 2-mile run, October 1, 2006. He ran the kid's run at the Portland Marthon. He did a great job...ran the entire thing without stopping and finished strong! Martin ran again this year and a couple of their friends ran along too. It was a fun day of memories. The boys are looking forward to running again next year. Posted by Picasa

I love this shot. It is great to have Darin running with him so we could get these great action shots. He is having a great time!! Posted by Picasa

Here is Luke running towards the finish line. (the time you see is the time for the 5-milers who started before the kid's run) Posted by Picasa

THE PFEIFFER FAMILY GOES TO THE CIRCUS!

Here are our two clowns! Posted by Picasa

The boys won a coloring contest with 104.1 the Fish radio station here in Portland!!! The prize packages for the 6 winners were 2 tickets to the circus, a private talk and demostration from the circus staff, and a private suite to view the circus with comfy chairs, etc. It was a great time and it was a great lesson as to why it never hurts to enter a contest, because you never know when you might win. I really like this photo, because it was taken by a member of the circus...eventhough you can't see Luke's eyes....he was having a blast.Posted by Picasa

Here we are doing the warm-up activities with the clowns in our private session. Posted by Picasa
