Welcome to China

There was an entire room dedicated to China....Martin visited the Great Wall of China. The boys had fun finding out what animal they were by the year they were born. I thought they did a nice job on this room.

Shop Til' You Drop

This was a fun area too! I thought it was funny that the carts had signs that said "customer in training" The boys enjoyed this supermarket better than the one at the Children's Museum...much cleaner and many more choices.

Bubble Room

Our boys have always loved bubbles. This is a really fun room that takes bubbles to another level. Instead of the flimsy wands and small bottles you have at home you can really make some cool stuff here.

This tricycle cracked me up. Can you imagine riding this down your neighborhood street? Too funny!

Cowboy and Indian

I am amazed at how our creative our boys can be. They were playing upstairs and this is what I saw when they came down. I think they have watched too many Lone Ranger videos.

Luke turns 8 years old!!!!!!!!!!

Luke had his party at Skate World this year. He had a great time with his friends. This year we had donuts instead of cake. It seemed to go over better than cake. It seems that cake is not liked by many kids, but donuts, how could you go wrong?

MT. SHASTA CLIMB

Darin and his brother Dan went on Thursday/Friday to climb Mt. Shasta. They came close to making the summit, but the 60 mile an hour winds made them turn back. They were bummed, but that is how it goes sometimes. Here are some great pics of the mountain.

MY HUSBAND'S WIDE ANGLE OBSESSION

Darin, Martin and Luke wanted me to post this photo. This is not the best picture of me, but my legs have never looked this long since Ihave been born.

WORKING AT THE CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martin and Luke decided to wash the truck for us a few weekends ago. They had a blast and Darin got some excellent action pictures. Who knew washing a truck could be so much fun!

BEAVER BASEBALL GAME

The morning started out really cold so Grandma shared her coffee with Luke....this boy LOVES coffee just like his dad!

This year I coordinated a field trip for my homeschool group. It was called the Art and Science of Baseball School Days. They had a great curriculum you could go over with the kids before the actual event. This was the first time Martin and Luke had ever been to PGE Park and their first Portland Beavers Game. My family went to lots of Beavers games when I was growing up....it brought back memories for me. It was a great day riding the MAX, watching the Beavers WIN, being with friends and getting the souvenirs Grandma bought for the boys.

RETRO UNIGHT 4 INDIA

On May 17th our India team put together a Dessert & Silent Auction Fundraiser. It was a GREAT night!! People had a fun time with music, food, desserts and awesome items up for auction. FLYING BOYS

Our boys enjoy flying through the air as you can see from these photos. Martin loves to see how far he can jump off of a swing. I remember doing this back in the day. The below photos were taken by Darin when I was gone for an evening. That would be Martin launching his brother up in the air....something Darin has done with the boys for years. Martin is now big enough to launch Luke so the fun begins.

MY SWEET BOYS

My boys decided to surprise me with a fancy lunch. The menu was turkey pastrami sandwiches with pickles and cheese, chips, grapes, and Coke for the beverage. They decided to make it really fancy by using the China plates and fancy glasses. It was a great surprise and made me feel very loved. I know someday that my boys will make their future wife very happy!

P.S. They even cleaned up their mess in the kitchen....it doesn't get any better than that :-)

LUKE LEARNS THE WHEELIE

Darin taught Luke his new fun trick of the wheelie on his bike. He learned it really quick and enjoys trying to get them higher everytime. The next step will be learning to ride the wheelie....fun times.
